“The sound of the TARDIS,” Martha said, rushing to the window and looking out at it. “So, this is Nine and Rose?”

“Yes, it is.”

The TARDIS suddenly appeared and parked. Out of the doors emerged Nine with Rose, as she was wearing a Union Flag shirt.

“That’s you?” Martha asked, looking at Nine. “That’s another of your faces!”

“Yes. That’s Nine!”

“You wore leather! You wore a leather jacket and you look like a hardcore dad and—”

Martha trailed off when she saw Ten look at Rose.

“And that’s Rose,” she said, curious.

“Yes, it is,” he looked at her in wonder. “There we are. I remember this adventure well. Because it was one of the best. Martha, for just this once, everyone lived by the end. Everyone was saved.”

“Don’t worry,” Martha said, “in New New York, everyone was saved again.”

“Yes, it was,” Ten agreed, “yes, you are correct. I suppose that it’s just nostalgia that makes us always think other times are the better times, and—”

They were interrupted when the glass in front of them began to crack and letters formed from it.
